Please join us in congratulating Jayla Thurman, R.D., L.D., Clinical Oncology Dietitian at City of Hope Atlanta, on being named Young Dietitian of the Year by the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Jayla’s passion for nutrition and patient care extends far beyond the clinic. Through her volunteer work with the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, she is committed to advancing evidence-based nutrition, supporting fellow dietitians, and helping create more accessible nutrition resources for the communities we serve.
At City of Hope Atlanta, Jayla brings a deeply personalized approach to oncology nutrition, recognizing that every patient’s journey is unique and that small, sustainable habits can make a meaningful difference in cancer prevention, treatment, and overall wellness. Her work is guided by compassion, trusted information, and a commitment to helping patients feel supported during some of their most challenging moments.
