City of Newnan celebrates Ribbon Cutting Phase 2 of Murray Street Project

From City of Newnan Press Release
The City of Newnan celebrated the completion of Phase 2 of the Murray Street Affordable Workforce Housing Project on Wednesday, July 23.
Mayor Keith Brady and Council Member Ray DuBose were present, along with representatives from NURA (Newnan Urban Redevelopment Agency), Collins General Construction, the Housing Authority of Newnan, as well as City staff.
“We’re here to celebrate another ribbon cutting and another victory on Murray Street,” said Brady.
To date, NURA has constructed six new homes on Murray Street. These homes are available to qualified families, who will lease the homes for up to three years and must purchase the home at the completion of the allowable lease term. A percentage of the monthly rent is held in an escrow account to provide the families with downpayment assistance at the time of purchase.
