City of Newnan to host Christmas Parade on Saturday

The city of Newnan will host its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14 at 6 p.m. in downtown Newnan.

The theme of the 2024 Parade is “Christmas Classics” and includes the following award categories:
• Most Creative
• Most Original
• Best Use of Parade Theme
• The Elfin Award (Children Participation)
• People’s Choice Award (to be voted on via social media after the event).

“Newnan’s annual Christmas parade is more than just a parade,” says Newnan Mayor Keith Brady. “It’s a gathering of community spirit, where friends and family come together to celebrate the magic of the season. We are thrilled to once again bring joy to our community with our annual holiday celebration.”

The Parade Route will begin at the corner of LaGrange Street and Cavender Street (UWG Campus / Dunc’s BBQ) and will proceed to downtown Newnan via LaGrange Street. The parade will end at Salbide Avenue.
