City of Newnan launches new Online Payment Portal

The City of Newnan, in conjunction with Govt Portal, together has implemented a new online payment portal for customers, businesses, and residents of the City of Newnan.

The new portal requires a few simple pieces of information from the user, and the user is then able to make a payment due to the city online via credit card from virtually anywhere and on any device.

Users can expect to find options for alcohol licenses, taxes, occupational taxes, cemetery payments, event fees, rental fees, planning and zoning fees, park reservations, sanitation services, permitting fees, and many others.

“Our goal is to assist customers with payments due to the city for various services, applications, deposits, and park or facility reservations, without a trip to City Hall or a phone call to make a credit card payment by phone,” adds Cline. “Of course the city will continue to accept payments in person and by mail,”

Payments submitted through the portal may require additional information before permits, approvals and/or reservations are confirmed. It should be noted that payments do not constitute authorization until all requirements have been met.
