Computer Advantage, an Apple Premier Partner and community mainstay since 1991, is proud to announce its 35th-anniversary celebration.

To honor three and a half decades of serving the Newnan area, the company is launching the “35-Year Community Challenge,” a month-long initiative that puts the power of giving into the hands of its customers.Since opening its doors 35 years ago, Computer Advantage has operated on a “people-first” philosophy, prioritizing relationships over simple transactions. To mark this milestone, Computer Advantage has selected two local non-profit organizations, Backpack Buddies of Georgia and Elevate Coweta Students, to compete for a grand prize: 3.5% of the total store sales for an entire month.

“Reaching 35 years in this industry is a testament to the loyalty of our customers and the strength of our local community,” said Spencer Blunden, manager and owner of Computer Advantage. “We didn’t want a typical anniversary sale; we wanted a celebration that reflects our values. By pledging 3.5% of our sales—not just profits—we are inviting our customers to help us make an impact for the organizations that make central Georgia a better place to live.”

How the Challenge Works: Throughout the month of May, customers visiting the Computer Advantage showroom in Newnan, are invited to cast a vote for one of the two featured organizations. At the conclusion of the month, the organization with the most votes will be awarded the 3.5% sales donation.

Backpack Buddies: Learn more at backpackbuddiesga.org.

“Backpack Buddies is a 501c3 non-profit organization created to supply economically disadvantaged children in the school system with food for the weekend. BPB is currently serving all elementary, middle and high schools in Coweta County with 1700 students receiving food every weekend. This number is not one we celebrate at Backpack Buddies because the reality is that this number represents a hungry kid but while there is a need we want to be able to meet that need. We often say, ‘we hate that we have to, but we sure are glad that we get to!’ We are thrilled to be selected for Computer Advantage’s 35-Year Community Challenge. Partnering with local companies like Computer Advantage allows us to educate more people in the Newnan area about real needs in our own backyard.” – Lori Burnett, Program Director

Elevate Coweta Students: Learn more at elevatecowetastudents.org.

“ELEVATE Coweta Students, a local nonprofit is dedicated to surrounding students with a community of support and helping them succeed in school, in the community, and in life. The only nonprofit embedded directly on campus at Coweta County schools, our Site Coordinators work daily with students who are facing academic, emotional, or basic-needs challenges. Elevate Coweta Students is proud to be a part of helping Computer Advantage celebrate their 35 years of serving the Newnan area. This Challenge is a great way to partner up with them in a way that helps us to better support the students that we serve in the Coweta area.” – Kevin Barbee, Executive Director
