From Coweta County Press Release

Coweta County Fire Rescue recently held a special groundbreaking ceremony at the future home of Station 10. The new site for Station 10 is located at 49 Crook Road in Senoia.

With the growing population in Coweta County, this new facility will allow us to better serve citizens and lessen call times on the east side. It will replace the existing Fire Station located on Highway 85. The station will be approximately 10,800 sq. ft. and will include nine bunks, a locker room with four full bathrooms, a dayroom, kitchen, gym, three apparatus bays, gear extractor and storage. The estimated completion date is Spring 2026. This project is being funded from the Fire Fund.

“This is a monumental event that has been going on for several years” shares Fire Chief Robby Flanagan. “It is one of several steps that the county and our neighbors are taking to prepare for the future of Coweta County. As much as our friends in Senoia know, this area has grown tremendously over the last few years. It’s time we have to make a change. We need a place for additional equipment, staff and vehicles and we want to make sure we respond in a timely manner.”

“On behalf of the Coweta County Board of Commissioners, I am pleased to welcome everyone to this groundbreaking ceremony,” shares Chairman Bill McKenzie. “We gather in honor of those who run toward danger when others step back. We celebrate not just their skill and dedication, but their heart. The force that not only makes Station 10 more than just a number, more than just a fire house, but also a family woven into the fabric of Coweta County.”
