The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office attended the 22nd annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Golden Shield Honors Banquet, winning several awards.
The Sheriff’s Office was awarded 1st place DUI agency hero award agency size category 5 for efforts in impaired driving enforcement.
Deputies Nickota Wheat, Kyle Smith, Tyler Wood and Thomas Scott were awarded individual honors for their efforts in impaired driving enforcement.
Deputy Nickota Wheat was awarded for his continued efforts in impaired driving enforcement as a drug recognition expert while utilizing this advanced training.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Team was awarded 1st place DUI task force/HEAT team of the year for the state.
We are incredibly proud of the entire H.E.A.T. Team for their dedication to keeping our roads safe. Their commitment to protecting our community is reflected in these well deserved honors.
