Coweta Weekend Weather: Mild Saturday, cold and wet Sunday

This weekend’s forecast here in Coweta County will be a tale of two halves, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

After a chance of showers this morning, skies become partly sunny with a high of 64 degrees to start the first half of the weekend. It does get cooler overnight with a low this evening down to 40. Saturday will likely have more clouds than sun, but will reach a high of 63 with a North wind at 5-10 mph. Saturday night’s low should be near 47. 

The second half of the weekend is expected to be wet and cold. Rain moves in late Saturday evening and into Sunday morning. Rain chances are listed at 60 percent for Sunday with a high of only 54. The overnight low drops to 38.

Then to start the work week, sunny skies return on Monday with a high forecast for 61.

FRIDAY – A slight chance of showers between 8am and 10am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 64. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

FRIDAY NIGHT –  Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY –  Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT –  A 20 percent chance of rain after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Calm wind.

SUNDAY –  Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 54. Northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 61.
