Early Packet Pickup Thursday, Friday for Sunrise on the Square Race

Early Packet Pickup for registered participants in the 46th Annual Sunrise on the Square 5K Road Race is scheduled for Thursday and Friday at Dragonfly Running Company in downtown Newnan.
The Early Packet Pickup times at Dragonfly Running Company are 2-6 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 31) and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 1). Dragonfly Running is located at 10 LaGrange Street.
This year’s race returns to its usual place on the calendar, the Saturday before Labor Day and begins at 8 a.m.
On-site registration and check-in for registered runners and walkers on Saturday starts at 6:30 a.m. All check-in and registration ends at 7:30, some 30 minutes prior to the race’s start.
Last-minute online registration is still available at https://www.active.com/newnan-ga/running/distance-running-races/46th-annual-sunrise-on-the-square-5k-2023. Runners who register after the Aug. 11 early registration deadline are not guaranteed a race tee shirt.
The 5K race begins in downtown Newnan and spans through “The City of Homes,” where runners will catch a glimpse of the beautiful, historic in-town neighborhoods and commercial district.
The race features a 5K USATF certified course (chipped timing), where runners will enjoy the diversity of terrain, including: long flat stretches, downhill and uphill sections. The Sunrise on the Square Road Race welcomes both runners and walkers of all skill levels.
Awards for overall Male/Female finishers include – Overall M/F Masters ; Top three Male/Female in age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over. The 5K is USATF Certified (USATF 5K GA19040WC) and CHIPPED TIMED. Times can be used for seeding in Peachtree 10K but the runner will have to submit information.
Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.
