Lunch and Learn: Chris Joyner set to speak on June 2

From Special Reports
Join the Newnan Carnegie Library and the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation on Friday, June 2 for a free Lunch and Learn program.
Bring a lunch with you as the Carnegie hosts guest speaker Chris Joyner, an investigative reporter with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Chris will talk about his journey unearthing the trials of Carrollton sharecropper Clarence Henderson and its generational impact on a family and community.
“The Lunch and Learn programs have been so interesting, with the opportunity to learn and engage with amazing guest speakers,” says Jessica Dunnington, the Newnan Carnegie Library Program Associate. “With our upcoming event of the story of a small-town murder and a series of sensational trials, where Joyner plans to talk about how our shared history echoes in the present and the opportunities it presents for healing and reconciliation, will make for a fascinating topic indeed.”
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins promptly at noon and ends at 1 p.m.
Online registration is required for this event, so please visit Eventbrite to sign up: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/632790452277.
