Lunch and Learn: Prohibition Stories in the South

The Newnan Carnegie Library and Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation will host Lunch and Learn, a lunchtime program which is free to the public.
This week’s event on Friday, Sept. 30 will focus on the era of Prohibition in the United States and how the South fought against it. The speaker will be Kathryn Smith.
“These Lunch and Learn programs have been so much fun and Kathryn Smith is such a great performer and speaker,” says Carnegie Director Susan Crutchfield. “We are looking forward to welcoming her back to the Carnegie!”
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the event will start promptly at noon. The Carnegie says to bring a lunch and enjoy.
