One of the best restaurants in Coweta County requires a membership or an invitation from a member.

29 North, headed up by Chef Lance Jeffers Jr., is a true gem that members can enjoy for lunch and dinner, as well as for breakfast on weekends.

And now, NCC is opening its banquet areas to the public, featuring some amazing food.

“Great moments deserve a great space,” said Charlie Moller, general manager at NCC. “Many in the area do not realize that our private event venue is also available for the public to rent—perfect for celebrations, meetings, and special occasions.”

The country club recently underwent a large renovation, including its banquet/ballroom facilities.

Already, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, Newnan Kiwanis, Lady K, Golden K, and Rotary Club use the club on a regular basis for their meetings, and other smaller groups meet on a monthly basis. In addition, the club currently hosts 50-75 private events of various sizes each year.

” Providing you access to a true professional service with the greatest food options at your disposal makes Newnan Country Club the perfect host for your event,” Moller added.

Chef Lance started working in restaurant kitchens at the age of 12. That led to attending the Culinary Institute of America 77-79, and Mercer University 84-88. His apprenticeships included the Quilted Giraffe Restaurant, New York City, and the Midnight Sun Restaurant, Atlanta.

Other positions include banquet chef at the Atlanta Airport Marriott; executive chef, Embassy Suites, Buckhead, Atlanta; executive chef, Marriott Hotel, Norcross; executive chef, Jennings Mill Country Club, Athens; food & beverage director, executive chef, The Coweta Club Newnan; adjunct instructor AOS culinary arts program West Georgia Technical College.
