Newnan-Coweta Habitat partners with Community to build Home on Roberts Road

From Special Reports

Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity and members from the Coweta County community joined together on Sept. 27 to celebrate the new home of Coweta County resident and Habitat recipient Sheree Melson.

For more than two years, Sheree and her family have worked with the Habitat team on the construction of the home and have been excited for the new beginning it will provide her and her family. Employed by CTCA in Newnan, Sheree’s goal is to return to school so she can become a Certified Nursing Assistant where she can care for those in need.

“We are so pleased to present a new home to such a kind person like Sheree,” said Cristina Bowerman, MNM, CAE, executive director of Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity. “We are incredibly grateful to our generous community partners for helping make this home a reality. We look forward to working together again in the years to come.”

Several community partners were vital in helping this project a reality, including Coweta-Fayette EMC, Publix Super Markets Charities, SouthTowne, United Bank, Swope Family Fund and Panasonic Automotive.
