Newnan Salvation Army wants to win this contest

From Special Reports
There’s nothing like some good, old-fashioned competition during the holidays, especially when its for a great cause!
Well then, mark your calendars Newnan. Salvation Army of Newnan Director Heather Durham will be ringing the bell at Kroger on Lower Fayetteville Road this Friday, Dec. 9. Heather will be there from 4 to 6 p.m. as part of a bell-ringing competition with other area Directors.
If Newnan raises the most money, each of Heather’s bosses will volunteer two hours of time to ring the bell here in Newnan! And folks, the Newnan Salvation Army really wants to win.
Every dollar collected in the red kettles support the wide range of services and programs provided throughout the year in Newnan, including feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, offering emergency financial assistance, youth programs, and disaster response.
All they are asking is if you can find your way to Kroger on Friday and drop your donation into the kettle, they will be so grateful!
This Kroger location is actually 1751 Newnan Crossing Boulevard as it intersects with Lower Fayetteville Road.
