Announcing New Grants to CORRAL, One Roof Ecumenical Alliance Outreach and Sisters for Society Corporation

From Newnan Utilities Press Release

At Newnan Utilities, we consider it our responsibility to make a positive impact on the communities we serve.  Customers of Newnan Utilities share in this passion to make a positive impact as evidenced by their charitable giving though the Caring Customers program.

“Our customers are passionate about community and believe in a hands-on approach to making our community a better place to live, work and play.  Together we help our neighbors,” says Jeff Phillips, General Manager of Newnan Utilities.

Thousands of customers donate to the program each year; some give monthly while others give periodically.  The impact many dollars can make when added together is amazing.  Thanks to the generosity of our customers, the Caring Customers program has awarded over $83,000 to local nonprofit organizations since its inception.

Three local organizations received grant donations from Caring Customers recently.  Grant awards typically range from $500 to $2,500.  The deserving organizations awarded by the Caring Customers’ advisory board for second quarter of 2022 are:

CORRAL – Coweta Organization for Riding, Rehabilitation and Learning – provides therapeutic horseback riding facilities and instruction for mentally and/or physically challenged individuals by offering exposure to a sense of freedom and achievement while enjoying the outdoors.

One Roof Ecumenical Alliance Outreach – people serving the Lord, working with families in crisis in Coweta County, offering food, clothing, financial assistance and shelter.

Sisters for Society Corporation – provides a lifeline of support and knowledge to marginalized individuals and families facing financial instability.

Nonprofits are encouraged to apply by August 1 for consideration in the September grant review.
