Senoia Optimist Club sponsors annual ‘Barbecue Take-Out’ on Oct. 15

The Optimist Club of Senoia will host its annual barbecue on Saturday, October 15 with proceeds from this fundraiser used to fight childhood cancer and also help with local youth initiatives.
The barbecue will be held at the Senoia Farmers’ Market (40 Travis Street) from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Food featured at the barbecue will include the traditional Senoia recipe of Brunswick stew prepared by Carl, Jim, and Ray McKnight plus Bill Underwood along with many volunteers. Pulled pork will be prepared by Gerry Joseph of “1 Smokin’ Guy BBQ”.
All items are “to go”. Quarts of stew are $15, pounds of pulled pork are $18, and BBQ sandwiches are $8. A pork sandwich, chips and drink will be available for $10.
