Sportsman’s Corner: This week’s prep football schedules, plus Braves, Falcons and United TV info

From Staff Reports
Fall officially begins on Thursday as local high school football season continues with Week No. 6 action plus the Atlanta Braves have just 16 games left in the regular season on their quest to overtake the New York Mets and win the National League East Division for the fifth consecutive year.
All six Coweta County football teams are in action with Central Christian, East Coweta and Northgate at home. In fact, the Northgate Vikings will be celebrating homecoming.
The Braves host the Washington Nationals tonight to start at three-game series – all on Bally Sports South – and then travel to Philadelphia and Washington for a seven-game road trip beginning Thursday.
The Atlanta Falcons remain on the West Coast to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Atlanta is looking for its first win of the 2022 season after falling to the Los Angeles Rams, 31-27, on Sunday.
Atlanta United picked up a draw on Saturday against Philadelphia to keep its slim playoff hopes alive. United returns to action on Oct. 1 at New England.
