Cafe 1458
Cafe 1485 announced it will soon be relocating to a larger space in Newnan, taking over the former Shirley’s Country Kitchen location at White Oak Center, next to Harbor Freight.
The move comes just weeks after Shirley’s Country Kitchen closed its Newnan restaurant. You can find Shirley’s Country Kitchen at their LaGrange location on Whitesville Road just south of I-85.
In a social media post, the Cafe 1485 team shared its excitement about the expansion, thanking customers for their continued support and noting that the restaurant has outgrown its current location. While a grand opening date for the new restaurant has not yet been announced, Cafe 1485 said it will continue serving customers at its current location until the move is complete.
Bicicletta
Chefs and restaurateurs Andrea Montobbio and David Gibbs have opened Bicicletta, a new Italian restaurant rooted in hospitality, cycling culture, and community, in Peachtree City’s Kedron Village Shopping Center.
Bicicletta is the second concept from Montobbio and Gibbs, the team behind ENZO Steakhouse & Bar. Built on the same commitment to hospitality and quality that established ENZO as a community favorite, Bicicletta draws inspiration from the cycling culture that has shaped both chefs’ lives—from Montobbio’s upbringing in Italy to Gibbs’ years as a professional rider.
Avid cyclists who remain active in the local cycling community, the pair envisioned Bicicletta as a place where great food, conversation, and connection come together. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves handmade pastas, thin-crust pizzas made with 72-hour-fermented dough, seasonal salads, Italian wines, house-made gelato, and a menu of classic Italian spritzes in a bright, energetic space built around community, conversation, and everyday gatherings
Empwer Martial Arts
A new martial arts school is coming to Newnan with a mission that goes far beyond kicks and punches. Empower Martial Arts, opening at 226 Greenville Street, Suite J, near downtown Newnan and close to Let’s Talk Brunch, will be a family-focused martial arts school dedicated to helping students grow stronger both on and off the mat.
The goal of Empower Martial Arts is to provide high-quality martial arts training in a positive, structured, and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, discipline, respect, focus, and leadership skills. While students will learn practical martial arts techniques, self-defense, forms, and drills, the focus will be on helping every student become the best version of themselves.
“Martial arts is about much more than physical training. We want every student to leave class feeling more capable, more confident, and more prepared to handle challenges in everyday life,” said Nathan Hamblin, owner of Empower Martial Arts.
Grazing Here
A beloved Peachtree City restaurant is turning the page to an exciting new chapter. After more than a decade of serving the community, Gene and Becca have officially sold Grazing Here, passing the restaurant on to new owners who will continue its tradition of great food, hospitality, and community connections.
In their announcement, Gene and Becca expressed heartfelt gratitude to the loyal guests, dedicated staff, and many friends who helped make Grazing Here a local favorite over the years. They offered special thanks to General Manager Heather Wiggins for her leadership and commitment, as well as longtime team members Eddie and Larry for their contributions to the restaurant’s success and the many memories created along the way.
As Grazing Here moves forward under new ownership, the former owners are encouraging the community to show the same support and enthusiasm that has helped the restaurant thrive for so many years.
