From Staff Reports

Everyone has their “go-to” place to eat. It might be with linen tablecloths and waiters in ties, or where you throw peanuts on the floor and carve your initials in the wooden tables. Whatever and wherever, it’s your “joint.”

There are lots of these places around here, and we’re out to find them all in The Joints column. This month – it’s Señor Taco in Senoia.

Señor Taco

Every now and then you get one of those menus where you spend a lot of time … just looking.  The menu isn’t all that big, it’s just that there are so many things you want to try. And having all those photos making you just salivate makes the looking even longer.

And when it comes to Mexican dishes, Señor Taco in Senoia nails it. There was a lot of “I’m going to have that … no wait, I want the … Ugh … you get that and I will get …” at our table.

You get the point. Great Chef favorites, some awesome looking seafood creations and the steak tacos were to die for.

Personally, I was never a big fan of rice and beans. I now take that back. Great rice and beans are now the key indicator to me that everything else will be good. It’s like going to a sandwich place and trying out their cheesesteak. If that ain’t good, move on.

And let’s face it. Chips and salsa. Great thin chips and two kinds of salsa. One was of the regular variety, the other a smoked tomato concoction that was, well, incredible.

Let’s put it this way. We can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu. Great staff, full bar. You can’t go wrong and it’s right on Main Street in downtown Senoia.
