FRIDAY, JUNE 7

PEACHTREE CITY NIGHT MARKET
5-10 p.m. at Drake Field, 155 Willowbend Drive, Peachtree City
Over 40 vendors under the night sky with live music by Captain and The Kid and Dixon the Band, art, entertainment, food and much more.

SOUTHERN LITFEST: UNPLUGGED
6-9 p.m., Courthouse Square, Downtown Newnan
Hometown Novel Night, Unplugged kicks off the Southern Litfest weekend with up to 40 regional authors on the Square accompanied by the sounds of DJ Alan Ray. Booths will extend from West Broad Street to Brown Street (adjacent to the Newnan Carnegie Library). The event is free.

MERIWETHER COUNTY RODEO
8 p.m., QC Arena, 1015 Flat Shoals Road, Gay
Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 Adults, $10 for children (5-12), ages 4 and under are free.

SATURDAY, JUNE 8

COWETA COUNTY FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m., Asa Powell Expo Center, 197 Temple Avenue, Newnan • 770-254-2620
Your favorite farm families and vendors return alongside exciting new additions, all eager to meet you at the Coweta County Farmer’s Market! In addition, Coweta County UGA Extension’s Family & Consumer Science Agent will join us this season with fun cooking demos, food safety tips and children’s activities. Plus, don’t miss the chance to meet your new furry best friend, as Coweta County Animal Services will be on-site offering pet adoptions.

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday.

8TH ANNUAL CAR & BIKE SHOW
9 a.m.- 2 p.m., Sharpsburg Baptist Church, 6413 Highway 54, Sharpsburg
This annual event is a missions fundraiser sponsored by Sharpsburg Baptist Church. Free Hot Dogs for kids, Bounce House, Bake Sale, Face Painting, Live Music, BBQ and more. $10 vehicle entry fee.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SOUTHERN LITFEST: UNPLUGGED
All Day, Downtown Newnan
Please note all Litfest events, except the Friday evening event require pre-registration on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/southern-litfest-2024-3032019.
9:30 a.m. – Newnan Theatre Company Academy Kids will be performing a special Aesop’s Fables show at NTC. All children attending will receive a complimentary ticket for a kids meal from Truett’s Chick-fil-A and each family will receive an Aesop’s Fables book courtesy of the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation.
11 a.m. – Sally Bethea will be the guest speaker at the Newnan Carnegie Library. Sally was one of the first women in America to become a “riverkeeper” – a vocal defender of a specific waterway who holds polluters accountable.
2 p.m. – Author Gwen Roland and wildlife photographer CC Lockwood combine forces to truly illustrate, though personal experience in captivating words and photographs, the experience of living as one with nature. Event at Newnan Carnegie Library.
7 p.m. – Sean Deatrich will be performing at Wadsworth Auditorium. He is a columnist, novelist, and stand-up storyteller known for his commentary on life in the American South. Tickets are $35 per person.

PIEDMONT NEWNAN NICU REUNION
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Piedmont Newnan Hospital, 745 Poplar Road, Newnan
Calling all Piedmont Newnan NICU grads, families and amazing staff members, come join the PNH folks for a celebration of stars.

FREE MOVIE MONDAY
10:30 a.m., Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, Newnan
Join the City of Newnan Leisures Services Department for a FREE Movie Monday featuring the Migration Movie. No sign up required. Come and enjoy a free movie and popcorn!
