Region play dominates the prep football scene on Friday, the Atlanta Hawks open their 2022-23 season on Wednesday and the Atlanta Falcons look to make it two consecutive wins with a visit to Cincinnati on Sunday.
Five of the six local high school football teams are in action this week with East Coweta enjoying an open date. Trinity Christian, ranked No. 8 in the latest AJC 4-A State Poll and winners of five straight, hosts LaGrange in a huge Region 4 contest.
The Hawks open their season with three consecutive home games, all televised by Bally Sports Southeast, and the Falcons hit the road for a 1 p.m. contest against the Bengals on FOX.
