From Staff Reports

Another busy holiday weekend continues here in Coweta County and surrounding areas as the countdown to Christmas continues.

Today’s highlights include the holiday movie (White Christmas) at the Carnegie Library and the East Coweta Middle School Winter Band Concert tonight at The Nixon Centre.

On Saturday, it’s a pair of rescheduled events – the Great Gingerbread Build sponsored by the Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity and the annual Newnan Christmas Parade – take place in Newnan.

And on Sunday, Warm Up: A VoicePlay Holiday is at The Nixon Centre and a pair of plays continue at both the Newnan Theatre Company (Charlie Brown Christmas) and the Legacy Theatre (Away in a Basement).

As for the weekend weather, the National Weather Service in Peachtree City says rain is in the forecast today and early Saturday with high temperatures in the mid-50s and lows ranging from 54 tonight to 38 on Sunday night. The best overall day for getting out and about is Sunday with partly sunny skies and a high near 54.
