Weekend Weather In Coweta: Rain today, clearing and dry by Sunday

If you like cold, rainy days in December then today’s weather is just for you.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City gives an 80 percent rain chance all day and most of tonight for the Coweta County area with temperatures only reaching a high of 46 degrees as a cold front moves through. Clearing begins Saturday morning with gusty west winds and a high of 56.

On Sunday, the best day of the weekend will have sunny skies with a high of 59.

Below is the day-by-day forecast by the NWS:

FRIDAY – Rain likely before 8am, then showers, mainly after 8am. High near 46. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Showers, mainly before 4am. Low around 43. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

SATURDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.
