Update – Saturday Evening Report: Coweta climbs to 285 cases

UPDATE (7 p.m.) – Today’s Evening Status Report has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Saturday, May 16.

The Evening Report shows that Coweta County’s numbers today increased by three new cases bringing the total to 285 cases The 4 deaths and 47 hospitalized remain unchanged.

For today, Georgia recorded 440 new cases, 10 deaths, 249 hospitalized and 7 admitted to ICU. The 249 people hospitalized was the highest total in a single day since April 28.

In the last two days combined (Friday and Saturday), Georgia has had 1235 new cases, 70 deaths, 393 folks hospitalized and 28 admitted to ICU.

Overall, Georgia has a total of 37,212 cases, 1598 deaths, 6767 hospitalized and 1556 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered – 321,069.

The Midday Report shows that Coweta County’s numbers increased by two new cases since Friday Evening’s Report bringing the totals to 284 cases, 4 deaths and 47 hospitalized.

Since last night, Georgia recorded 375 new cases, 4 deaths, 217 hospitalized and 5 admitted to ICU.

Overall, Georgia has a total of 37,147 cases, 1592 deaths, 6735 hospitalized and 1554 ICU admits. The total number of tests – 321,069 (an increase of 19,195 from yesterday).
