Weekend Things To Do: July 26-27-28

From Staff Reports
Another busy weekend is on tap as the start of school is fast approaching, in fact just 10 days away for folks in Coweta County.
Today, the Newnan Carnegie Library is hosting a pair of events – Exercise is Medicine and Christmas in July. The Monarch House is continuing its July of Ice Cream Cone Fridays and five theatrical performances hit the stage with “Matilda,” “Wizard of Oz,” “True Story of Pocahontas,” and “Hair: The American Tribal Love Rock Musical.”
Saturday is a day of Farmers Markets around the area. Markets take place in Newnan, LaGrange, Brooks, and Senoia offers up its grand opening just behind Nic and Norman’s in the old Cotton Warehouse. At Chattahoochee Bend State Park, families can take part in an Eye-Spy Scavenger Hunt or Meet The Turtles. There’s a Lake Peachtree Cleanup taking place in Peachtree City and Atlanta Range & Ordnance is hosting an Understanding Gun Laws seminar in Newnan.
If you love music, the area venues are filled with great, local talent. On the bigger stages, The Fred Amphitheater in Peachtree City hosts Music and a Movie with Kevin Bacon and the Bacon Brothers and the screening of “Footloose.” At Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville, Lowrider Band with Soulhound kicks it around.
On Sunday, three plays previously mentioned are on the docket and you can always ride the Newnan Trolley from downtown to Ashley Park.

Weather-wise, a very nice weekend is in the forecast. Look for mostly clear skies with highs each day around 87 degrees and lows at night about 66 degrees. There is no mention of rain in the three-day forecast.
