Weekend Weather in Coweta: Hot and humid; rain possible each day

The summer weather pattern continues here in Coweta County with a little twist from Tropical Storm Barry in the Gulf of Mexico.
No, Barry will not be moving into Georgia but here locally, more clouds will be present on Saturday and Sunday as a result of its outer bands. Rain chances will increase to 60 percent on Saturday, but high temperatures drop from the low 90s on Friday to 86 on Saturday and 83 on Sunday.
Below is the day-by-day forecast from the National Weather Service as of 6 a.m. today:
FRIDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 97. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind around 5 mph.
SATURDAY – A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
SATURDAY NIGHT – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
