Wind Advisory, Freeze Warning for Coweta County today

Coweta County will be under a pair of weather advisories before the day is over as a strong Arctic cold front moves through the area.
First, a Wind Advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. this evening. Folks can expect winds from the Northwest at 10-20 mph, with gusts to 35 mph. At 7 a.m., the Newnan Coweta County Airport recorded winds from the Northwest at 12 mph, with gusts to 21.
Later tonight, a Freeze Warning will be in effect from 7 p.m. this evening until 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to drop to as low as 24 degrees.
Here’s the forecast from the National Weather Service:
TODAY – Rain, mainly before 10am. Temperature falling to around 37 by 5pm. North wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
TONIGHT – Clear, with a low around 24. North wind 10 to 15 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 47. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
