Guest speaker Willard Womack will discuss the historical events and circumstances of Pearl Harbor on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Newnan Carnegie Library. The program begins at 2:30 p.m.

Womack plans to talk about such things as: warnings that were missed, Japan’s strategies and reasoning behind the attack, the leaders involved on both sides, America’s reaction, and the overall effects this event had on World War II.

“Our community loves history programs,” says Jessica Dunnington, the Newnan Carnegie Library Program Associate. “We have amazing guest speakers and the topics are always super fascinating, so people really get into them.”
