2021 Master Gardeners Calendar now available

By Marci Moore, Master Gardener Extension Voluteer for Coweta County

Would you enjoy seeing how Coweta County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers (MGEVs) landscape their own gardens?

Then look no further than our 2021 MGEV calendars. The 2021 MGEV calendar features photos taken in Coweta MGEVs’ gardens. MGEVs want to show how they apply the gardening techniques learned in the MGEV program and volunteer experiences to their own landscapes demonstrating their own personalities.

This calendar photo collection shares beautiful plants, flowers, wildlife and design. Each month also offers garden topics on a variety of subjects such as water wise landscaping, pruning, and plants for Georgia gardens. The calendar is one way for MGEVs to outreach and teach the community how to use and care for plants and how to improve the environment.

Not only is the calendar packed with beautiful gardens, but it includes gardening topics that will provide ideas and inspiration for both new homeowners and avid gardeners.  UGA publications are also referenced for additional information and your own self-education.  A section for gardening notes helps manage your monthly gardening activities and offers a place to jot down those new plants you added to your garden. Even if you don’t garden, you will enjoy the beauty of Coweta gardens captured in the photos.

This beautiful calendar is only $10 with proceeds going toward so many important community inspired programs in Coweta.  Pre-sale of the calendar is underway now and may be ordered for pickup before October 15 by contacting the Coweta County Extension Office at 255 Pine Road, Newnan, Georgia, telephone 770-254-2620; email at [email protected].  Last year the calendar sold out early so don’t miss the chance to purchase calendars for holiday gift giving and perfect stocking stuffers. Don’t forget the mail person, your favorite medical team member, church friends, neighbors, etc.  Only a limited number of calendars will be available for sale so don’t miss out!
