September 27, TUESDAY
Biblical Archeology at Newnan Carnegie
Join the Newnan Carnegie Library and Christy Barker, Curator and Director of Education and Programing at the Biblical History Center, for an amazing free program at 2:30 p.m. where she will be discussing archaeology in Israel, focusing on some interesting archaeological sites that are located in the land of Israel and associated with Biblical History. 1 LaGrange St., Newnan. • Healthy Aging Expo – Learn TODAY to LIVE BETTER tomorrow.
This free Healthy Aging Expo is at Crossroads Church, 3260 Hwy. 16 in Sharpsburg. The Expo will be a one-stop shop for everything you need to know about how to prepare for the best life you can live. Experts in the senior living/aging arena will be present to meet with you, share information and answer your questions. • One Roof’s Fashion Show Fundraiser

October 1-2, SATURDAY-SUNDAY
• The Cotton Fair, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 18830 Hwy. 85, Gay GA 30218
Admission: Adults (13-64) $10, Seniors (65+) $9, Active Duty Military ($9), Children (7-12) $5, Children (Under 7) Free. The Cotton Fair has been a staple in the community of Gay, GA for over 50 years. Each year during the first weekend of May and October, the Craft Festival brings a bustling crowd into this historic town. The festival is a chance to discover unique, skilled artisans and one-of-a-kind antiques – it feels like stepping back in time.
October 2, SUNDAY
• FERST Annual Lewis Grizzard & Catfish Memorial Bike Ride
8 a.m., beginning at the Moreland Mill. Each ride registration sends a book every month for a year to a child from birth to five years old in Coweta County. You may pay your registration fee, ride October 2, 2022 and receive a commemorative t-shirt. If you choose the virtual option, you may register, ride any length before October 2, post pictures on Facebook, and a t-shirt will be mailed to you. • Coweta Samaritan Clinic’s 12th Annual Bluegrass & BBQ
4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in former Papp Clinic Parking Lot. Join them as they get “fancy like” BBQ in a parking lot, hanging with your friends and raising money for a good cause! In addition to a delicious meal catered by Dunc’s BBQ Kitchen, this year’s Bluegrass & BBQ will feel much more like the old days with tents, tables, decor, signature cocktails, and, of course, the beer truck!
