Summer NewnaNights, Wined-Up return to downtown Newnan in June

Two of the summer’s favorite events return to downtown Newnan beginning in June.

Music event Summer NewnaNights hits the stage at First Avenue Park on Thursday, June 12 and later on July 10. The other popular local event Summer Wined-Up is slated for Friday, June 20.

Summer NewnaNights is from 6-9 p.m. and features music and entertainment. Two dates are scheduled this summer. The SAE Jam Band will perform on June 12 and Retrograde is set for July 10.

The Summer Wined-Up is the annual downtown wine-tasting event and is from 5-9 p.m. Individual tastings occur at different downtown businesses, where guests should expect to perform a “wine walk” that moves through over 25 host locations. The merchants who host this event will feature different hor d’oeuvres and a variety of whites, reds, and specialty blend wines for guests to sample. All downtown business hosts are happy to extend their business hours and hospitality to all downtown guests; drinkers, and non-drinkers, including retail specials and promotions.

Main Street Newnan has released a limited number (500) of Summer Wined-up tickets for drinkers that are available for purchase. Tickets are on sale now and are $30 each plus a $3 processing fee per tickets Tickets are presale only and no refunds. To purchase tickets, click HERE. Participation in Summer Wined-Up festivities is complementary for non-drinking guests.

Check-in will occur between 5-7 p.m. at the Newnan Carnegie Library at 1 LaGrange Street on the day of the event. Upon sign-in, each participant will receive a commemorative wine glass and an informational brochure. Event-goers must provide a valid photo ID at the registration table at the Carnegie Library for admittance. Each participant will be given a wristband to indicate that they are of legal drinking age.

Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.
