The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Wednesday, Nov. 4.
COWETA COUNTY CASES
Coweta County confirmed 10 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday with 0 deaths reported. Of the 10 cases, the age group of 25-34 years old had 4 new cases which was the most of any group. So far in November, Coweta is averaging 8.75 cases per day, below the 12.4 per day rate in October.
To date, Coweta has registered cumulative totals of 3048 cases and 63 deaths. The overall positive test rate is 7.9 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 6.8 percent.

Single-day highs now for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (66 on Aug. 26); deaths (4 on Aug. 13); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
GEORGIA CASES
Today in Georgia, the state confirmed 1863 cases (up 195 from Tuesday’s totals), 43 deaths (up 13 from yesterday), 149 hospitalizations (down 9 from Tuesday) and 34 ICU admits (same total as yesterday). Georgia has only been above 2,000 cases in a day twice since Sept. 19 and has a consecutive streak of 81 days below 3,000 cases.
Presently, there are 1,435 people in Georgia hospitalized with COVID, up 11 from Tuesday, and 2,378 ICU beds in use across the state (81.8 percent capacity).
Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 366,452 cases, 8072 deaths, 32,042 hospitalizations and 6031 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 9.4 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.1 percent.
Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,813 on July 24); deaths (122 on Aug. 11); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (97 on Aug. 12).
