FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

IN-PERSON MEGA PASS SALES
8 am, 2025 Kiwanis Coweta County Fair, Four Locations
In-person Mega Pass Sales for the 2025 Kiwanis Coweta County Fair is underway at four locations in Newnan. The Mega Pass gives Fair Attendees an unlimited ride armband to be used once any day during the fair from Sept. 18-28, 2025. You’ll receive both admission to the fair and the unlimited ride armband for only $30 – a savings of $15 on Fridays and Saturdays and $10 Sundays to Thursdays. Mega Passes must be purchased prior to the start of the fair. The locations are:
• Arnall Grocery Company – 32 East Washington Street, Newnan
• Coweta County Extension/4-H – 255 Pine Road, Newnan
• Keith Ross Insurance Agency – 41 Farmer Street #103, Newnan
• Summit Family YMCA – 1765 Highway 34 East, Newnan

STORY TIME FOR TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL
10 am, Newnan Carnegie Library, 1 LaGrange Street, Newnan • 770-683-1347
Join the folks at Carnegie Library for story time! The Toddler and Preschool story times are combined this month. Each session, we will explore a new theme through books, songs, and body movement. Activities will be followed by a themed craft or open play. No registration required!

HOMESCHOOL: WATERSHED & WETLANDS
10 am-Noon, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan • 770-254-7271
Come learn about the amazing Chattahoochee River watershed and explore the awesome park’s wetlands. They will show you why these places are super important to the environment. $5 parking, $3 per child. Call the visitor center to prepay.

MURDER MYSTERY

The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery opens its first of three weekends. This is a comedy play where a group of amateur actors, known for their comedic mishaps and poor acting skills, attempt to perform a murder mystery play called “Murder at Checkmate Manor,” with hilarious results due to forgotten lines, collapsing scenery, and general chaos, all while trying to maintain the illusion of a proper theatrical production. Tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, and $15 for children 10-and-under. To purchase tickets, click HERE.

PAPER SHREDDING EVENT

COWETA COUNTY FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 am-Noon, Asa Powell Expo Center, 197 Temple Avenue, Newnan • 770-254-2620
It’s the 48th year bringing you only locally grown, fresh seasonal produce, beef, eggs, honey, flowers, baked goods, handmade crafts and so much more! This Guy’s BBQ will be there in case you are hungry.

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 am – 1 pm, 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday. Fresh produce, baked goods, local artisans and much more.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET

Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SERENBE FARMERS AND ARTISTS MARKET
9 am-1 pm, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
This weekly market partners with quality vendors including growers, artisans, craftmakers and healthy food producers. The market is filled with fresh produce, delicious foods, fine arts and crafts.

AUTUMN SCAVENGER HUNT WITH A RANGER

Get ready for some Autumn fun and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and fresh air. Join the folks at Chatt Bend State Park for a super cool scavenger hunt along the riverside trail with a park ranger. GUIDED MEDITATION AND BREATHING

Join the Newnan Carnegie Library and Misty Caples, Yoga Instructor, where we will be hosting a free Guided Meditation and Breathing Exercise session.
