Bring One for the Chipper set for Saturday

The City of Newnan and Keep Newnan Beautiful will host a Bring One For The Chipper event on Saturday, Jan. 2.

The event is for Coweta County residents and will take place behind Newnan’s City Hall from 8 a.m. to noon. Local residents can bring their Christmas tree(s) which KNB will recycle into mulch or compost.

State and Local COVID-19 Guidelines will be in effect for this event. Residents will be asked to have their tree in the trunk, on top or in the back of their respective vehicles so volunteers can access it with limited contact. Masks are encouraged.

The next recycling event scheduled for early 2021 is Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, Jan. 9. It will be held at the Hunter Recreation Complex in Sharpsburg from 8 a.m. to noon.
