From Newnan Utilities Press Release

At Newnan Utilities, we take pride in our commitment to positively impacting the communities we serve. Our customers share this dedication, as demonstrated through their charitable contributions to the Caring Customers program.

Newnan Utilities has announced that three grants have been awarded to More Music Foundation, Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Coweta Community Foundation.

“The Caring Customers program highlights the impact of our community coming together,” said Melissa Payton, Program Manager at Newnan Utilities. “Because of our customers’ generosity, we’re able to support a broad range of programs and projects that make a meaningful impact across our community.”

The generosity of our customers has allowed the Caring Customers program to support over 40 local nonprofits, assisting individuals with everything from basic needs to literacy, art, housing, mental health, and more.

Three local organizations recently received grant funding from Caring Customers. The deserving organizations awarded by the Caring Customers’ advisory board are:

More Music Foundation

Project: More Music for Coweta
A $2,500 grant will enable the More Music Foundation to provide 20 new instruments to Coweta County students in need in partnership with Christmas in Coweta (Bridging the Gap).

Chattahoochee Riverkeeper

Project: West Point Lake Floating Classroom
A $2,500 grant will fund scholarships for 83 underserved Coweta students in 2024-2025 to explore the Chattahoochee River and study water conservation aboard Miss Sally.

Coweta Community Foundation

Project: Coweta Community Service Team Program
A $1,000 grant will help the Coweta Community Service Team empower local high school students through service on nonprofit boards and local projects, fostering leadership and civic responsibility.
