Coweta County Schools to close on Tuesday

From Coweta County School System Press Release
All Coweta County Schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, due to forecasts of likely winter weather and hazardous travel conditions for Coweta County and the surrounding region on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has placed Coweta County and surrounding counties under a Winter Storm Watch, and upgraded our region to a Winter Weather Advisory as of 2:30 p.m. Monday. While the chance of winter precipitation is still uncertain for our county on Tuesday, any possible winter precipitation would likely occur between the mid-morning to mid-afternoon hours tomorrow.
Because of this, the school system will close for all students and employees tomorrow, and will monitor Tuesday’s actual weather conditions to determine school status for Wednesday, January 22. Depending on actual conditions, any extra-curricular activities scheduled for Tuesday will also be updated later. In case of snow or icing conditions in our community, those activities will be cancelled.
The Heritage School is also closed on Tuesday and all after-school activities have been postponed.
All West Georgia Technical College campuses and offices are closed Tuesday. Classes will be held virtually.
