Coweta County Schools to reopen on Friday

From Coweta County School System Press Release
All Coweta County Schools and offices will be open for regular operation on Friday, January 24.
School system employees checked and prepared campuses on Thursday, and consulted with Coweta County Emergency Management officials about improving conditions across the county. School bus drivers drove routes to check conditions of secondary roadways and neighborhoods.
Parents and student drivers are urged to assess the condition of their neighborhood streets to determine the safety of morning travel tomorrow for themselves. All drivers are urged to take extra caution when driving tomorrow morning.
School System buses will pick-up students at regular times on Friday, although some delays along routes are possible. Though the vast majority of roads and streets are free of ice after today’s warming trend, a few roadways were identified by bus drivers as needing more attention before tomorrow morning. A list of these roads has been provided to Coweta County EMA.
All previously scheduled after-school and extra-curricular activities on Friday and over the weekend are moving forward being held as planned.
