Starting today, Newnan Carnegie Library hosts Exercise is Medicine, Crossroads Church offers Mommy & Me, Senoia Alive After Five has its first shopping evening of 2020 and if you like beer and like to run, there’s the Beer Mile at Line Creek Brewing Company in Peachtree City.

On Saturday, Smallcakes Cupcakery of Newnan will have its 5th Annual Customer Appreciation Day, the Coweta Fellowship of Christian Athletes is offering a Women in Sports Conference, a Cookie Drive takes place for our troops stationed all over the world, TOT Reading Time is at Southern Fried Books, AARP has a Smart Driving Course at Powell Library, and the Troup-Coweta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is hosting a Designer Bingo evening at Moreland Mills.

And Sunday, the Bomber Girls host a Packing Day for sending cookies and cards to our troops stationed around the world.

Our music calendar, compiled by Kris Youmans of the Kris Youmans Band, offers plenty of local and live music this weekend at The Alamo, The Brickhouse, The Cellar/The Bays, Grazing Here, The Mad Mexican, Mill Town Music Hall and more.

And check out our Theatrical events too.

Weather-wise, more rain moves into Coweta County early Saturday and with it comes much colder weather. Friday is probably the best day of the weekend with partly sunny skies and a high of 54. An 80 percent rain chance is in Saturday’s forecast and then on Sunday, rain moves out and much colder temperatures move in with a low Sunday night of 27.

Below is the day-to-day listing of events in the area. To have your event published, please email [email protected].
