Kevin Barbee resigns as Executive Director at Coweta Samaritan Clinic

Dr. Kay Crosby, board chair and medical director of Coweta Samaritan Clinic, announced recently that Kevin Barbee has resigned as Executive Director to pursue other interests.
“We thank Kevin for the work he has done for the (Coweta Samaritan) Clinic and wish him the best in the future,” Crosby said. “Lou Graner has graciously offered his services as a consultant through this time of transition as we begin the search for a new Executive Director.”
“Thanks to our dedicated Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, the work of the Clinic carries on uninterrupted. Everyone at the Clinic remains dedicated to providing quality healthcare and compassionate support to our uninsured neighbors in need, just as we have done since 2011.”
Graner was the Clinic’s first executive director, taking over on July 1, 2011 and serving in that capacity until h is retirement in March 2019.
The Coweta Samaritan Clinic continues to carry out its mission of providing high quality, compassionate medical care for Coweta County residents in need. Since opening in 2011 the Clinic has become the primary medical home for more than 1,450 uninsured Coweta County residents who qualify for services.
When the Clinic celebrated its 7th anniversary almost a year ago, its volunteer medical providers together with paid staff had conducted more than 18,600 patient visits – all free of charge to patients.
