Kiwanis Club of Newnan Honors Members

The Kiwanis Club of Newnan gathered at the Newnan Centre on Tuesday night to honor the members who exceeded expectations and excelled at serving the community. President-elect Keith Ross served as the emcee.
Zeller Awards are given to Kiwanians who go above and beyond in their service to the community.
Winners of this year’s Zeller Awards were Blake Bass, C.R. Phillips, Chip Barron and Chris Gilliam. Immediate past-president Gilliam was also presented with a plaque honoring him for his service during his time as president.
Kiwanis Secretary Bud Freeburg was named as the Kiwanian of the Year.
Several Kiwanians were honored for their years of perfect attendance.
Chris Gilliam, Julie Lee, JC Meghrian and C.R. Phillips were honored for one year of perfect attendance.
Scott Cortner, Bob Drescher, Beth Neely, Keith Ross and Danny Spivey were honored for two years of perfect attendance.
Grady Fleming was honored for four years of perfect attendance.
Blake Bass had five years of perfect attendance.
Don Chapman had 14 years of perfect attendance; John Anthony, 24 years; Nancy Walden, 29 years; Bud Freeburg, 32 years; Mike Barber, 34 years; and Frank Barron, 47 years.
