Kiwanis Coweta County Fair opens tonight

The 2021 Kiwanis Coweta County Fair begins its 11-day run as gates open at 5 p.m. today. The event is taking place at the Coweta County Fairgrounds and Conference Center in Newnan.
It’s all about the rides and food on Day No. 1 as Midway Preview Day offers Free Admission and Parking.The Exhibits will not open until Friday.
Weather-wise, both the National Weather Service in Peachtree City and WSB-TV are listing tonight’s forecast as cloudy with a 60 percent rain chance at 5 p.m. and a temperature near 71 degrees. The rain chances drop slightly as the evening goes on – to 55 percent at 6 pm, 45 percent at 7 pm and 40 percent from 8 to 11 pm.
Fair hours this weekend are Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight; Saturday, noon to midnight; and Sunday 2 to 10 p.m.
