Come and find this year’s garden gems at the Coweta County Master Gardener Extension Volunteer (MGEV) Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Coweta County Fairgrounds Agricultural Building, 275 Pine Road, Newnan.

The spring sale features a wide variety of favorites for your yard and garden. Plants include annual flowers and edible favorites including tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, parsley, basil and lemongrass as well as perennials, shrubs and trees. Many plants attract pollinators, and some are native to our area.

Master gardeners have nurtured thousands of plants to offer them to our community at a reasonable price, making the sale a popular annual event. While the sale opens at 8:30 a.m., the line starts well in advance and plants sell quickly. Bring a wagon and boxes to make shopping easier and to carry your treasures home.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about planting and caring for your purchases.

The plant sale supports the MGEV mission to extend lifelong learning to Coweta County citizens through research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families. Funds from this event allow us to provide community education programs such as the Backyard Association (BYA), youth scholarships, 4-H programs and more. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
