Monday: Coweta adds 9 new cases of COVID-19

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, July 20.

Coweta County posted 9 new cases of COVID-19 today with no changes in deaths and hospitalizations. The 9 cases broke a string of 6 consecutive days of double-digit cases in Coweta.

Cumulative totals for Coweta now stand at 1019 cases, 16 deaths and 71 hospitalizations.

Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).

Today, Georgia saw another dip for the second day in-a-row, recording 2452 cases on Monday with 3 deaths, 37 hospitalizations and 7 ICU admits. It is the 29th consecutive day the state has had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day.

Presently, there are 3,183 people hospitalized statewide with COVID-19.

Overall, Georgia has 145,575 cumulative cases, 3176 deaths, 15,047 hospitalizations and 2829 ICU admits.

Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,689 on July 18); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (46 on July 10).
