UPDATE (7 p.m.) – Today’s second Daily Status Report has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Thursday, April 9.

This report indicates 10,885 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia (an increase of 319 from today’s noon report) and 412 deaths (an increase of 33 from earlier today). In Coweta County, the number of confirmed cases rose to 87 (up 3 from earlier today) and 2 deaths remain unchanged.

Adding the totals for today only, there’s 696 new cases, 43 deaths and 216 people hospitalized in Georgia during the last 24 hours.

The top five counties in Georgia with the most confirmed cases – Fulton 1336, Dougherty 1042, DeKalb 766, Cobb 653 and Gwinnett 618.
