Newnan High switches to Virtual Learning on Tuesday

From Coweta County Schools Press Release

Newnan High School will shift to a virtual learning schedule tomorrow (Tuesday, August 31), in anticipation of inclement weather conditions accompanying the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

Weather services predict a high likelihood of tornado watches  throughout the day in the Coweta area, following Ida’s landfall. The school will shift to virtual-only learning because precautions in the event of a watch would pose a disruption to classes at the NHS Main Campus and the NHS Cougar Village at CEC.

Staff members and students should plan to log in from home on Tuesday to their Google classrooms according to the NHS Virtual Learning Bell Schedule.  This  will allow instruction to continue for students without long periods of time outside of their assigned classrooms.

Regular in-person classes at NHS are expected to resume Wednesday.
