#NewnanStrong Music & Arts Tornado Relief Benefit set for Saturday

If you like music and art, then the downtown historic district of Newnan is the place to be on Saturday evening May 8.

Over 20 bands and numerous artists will take over downtown as part of the #NewnanStrong Music & Arts Tornado Relief Benefit. It is scheduled to take place from 5 to 10 p.m. at 9 different locations.

The general public is invited to come and enjoy this free event filled with live music, local artists, food, drinks and fun for all. Bands will be staggered throughout the downtown area and donations will be accepted at each venue. Also included in this event are local artists who were originally scheduled to participate in the Spring Art Walk which was canceled due to inclement weather. The artists will be located around the Courthouse Square and down side streets as well.

All donations from this event will be given to Hope Global Initiative and will be used to aid those affected by the tornado on March 26.

Music venues include RPM Patio, Red Letter Alley, The Alamo Live Stage, Ace Growlers/Leaf & Bean, Trek Lot, Vinylyte Records, Redneck Gourmet, Greenville Street Park and the Methodist Church Lot.
