From Senoia Optimist Club Press Release
The Optimist Club of Senoia will host its annual barbecue on Saturday, October 25. The barbecue will be held in the front area of the Senoia Farmers’ Market (40 Travis Street) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to fight childhood cancer through the Aflac Cancer Center.
Food featured at the barbecue will include the traditional Senoia recipe of Brunswick stew prepared by Carl, Jim, and Ray McKnight along with many volunteers. Pulled pork will be prepared by Fredene Wheelus.
All items are “to go”. Quarts of stew are $15, and pounds of pulled pork are $20. This year you can preorder these items online by going to https://optimistclubofsenoia.org/annual-bbq/ or by scanning the QR code on the flyer below. You can also contact an active member of the local Optimist Club or call 770-312-9300 or 770-833-9242 to place your order, especially if you won’t be able to make it on October 25th and need to have your purchase held for you. You can also email the club at [email protected] with your order or a question.
Especially for customers who preorder, the Optimist Club offers a “drive-thru” option. During the hours of the sale (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), customers may call 770-312-9300 or 770-833-9242 and give an approximate time that they will be coming up Travis Street where the sale will be set up. All of the pre-sales will be staged so their order can be pulled and made available. If their purchase was made online, they will have already paid for their items which will expedite the buying experience so as to not restrict traffic.
Help make this special barbecue a success in raising funds to fight childhood cancer through the Aflac Cancer Center!
