Piedmont Newnan Welcomes New Director of Community Relations

From Piedmont Newnan Hospital Press Release
Piedmont Newnan Hospital has hired Carrie Parsons as the new Director of Community Relations, to manage the community relations and volunteer services teams here at Piedmont Newnan.
In this new role, Parsons will direct and oversee community relations activities for the hospital, including building and maintaining community organization relationships, identifying local sponsorship opportunities, and working with hospital and physician leaders to promote new and ongoing initiatives in our local areas. As a not-for-profit hospital, Parsons will tailor outreach activities to address local health priorities as identified by our Community Health Needs Assessment, including heart disease, cancer, access to care, and a reduction in preventable diseases and conditions.
“Carrie has been a part of the Piedmont Newnan team for more than six years and is an active member of this community that will be a great asset in managing the community relations efforts here,” said Vicki Kaiser, COO at Piedmont Newnan.
Parsons previously was a Senior Physician Outreach Consultant with Piedmont since 2019, where she supported Piedmont’s primary care and specialty practices in the Piedmont Newnan market. In that role, she promoted new physicians and services lines, built strong connections and referral patterns within the Piedmont system, and consistently met or surpassed established quarterly outreach goals.
Over the past year, Parsons helped to facilitate the launch of a new surgery scheduling platform, Qventus, which uses AI to help surgeons find available OR times and helps PNH ORs create more availability through schedule optimization. She surpassed system goals for the platform, with Piedmont Newnan being one of the highest adopters in the system. She also spearheaded the promotion of Piedmont’s robotic-assisted surgical procedures, developing collateral and mentoring peers, to support Piedmont’s system-wide robotics campaign. Parsons has over 15 years of experience in community engagement and marketing roles in Newnan and was a 2023 graduate of Leadership Coweta.
Parsons holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Clayton State University. She is a member and serves on the Board of Directors for the Newnan Coweta Chamber of Commerce and serves on their Women’s Prosperity Alliance.
In this new role, Parsons will work with partner with local organizations and lead outreach activities to educate our community on the health resources available.
