Scavenger Hunt

Breeze through the fallen leaves as you search for items on the scavenger hunt! Lists will be given out at the Visitor Center with items you can find around the park. Bring your completed list with your items to the office for a special prize! $5 parking.
Hooch Hike and Paddle
Saturday, Nov. 18, 8:30 a.m.. to 3 p.m.
Get the best of both worlds at the Bend — a 5.5 mile hike up the Riverside Trail to the bend boat launch and break for lunch. Then, a short instruction session to get you on your way; a nice, easy paddle back down the Chattahoochee. Boats are available to rent or bring your own. Register in advance, space is limited. Ages 10+ $12 per person plus $30 boat rental. $5 parking.
Sensory Awareness Night Hike
Friday, Nov. 24, 8:30 to 10 p.m.
Join the ranger for an easy night hike along the River Trail with experiments to test your senses. We will have hot cocoa to keep your hands warm and taste buds happy on this cool night! Bring a flashlight and sturdy shoes. Dress appropriately for cooler weather. Ages 8 and older. $5 plus $5 parking.

Glow in the Dark Bowling

Small Business Saturday is a nationally celebrated shopping event that takes place within downtowns, and other small businesses across the United States. The day is intended to encourage American shoppers to consider buying from small retailers and merchants as they check off their holiday gift lists. The timing of this annual shopping event is intentional, as it always occurs on the 4th Saturday of November, following “Black Friday,” and prior to the recently established “Cyber Monday” shopping events.

The Market Day is hosted by Main Street Newnan every month from April-December, around the courthouse square in downtown Newnan. The market showcases a variety of handmade, homemade, and homegrown products created by local artisans, artists, and farmers. It features 50 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month
Newnan Christmas Parade

The theme is “Christmas Around the World!” The parade will include floats, walking groups, decorated cars and trucks, and marching bands. Every year there is a float contest that goes along with the parade.
