The Music: Live and Local July Calendar

Musicians and artists tend to interpret the real world very well, meaning they can put into personal perspective what’s really important and how people are really feeling. It’s their music and art which creates the silver lining in the clouds and storms we go through.

That’s why we need them so much – the songwriters with stories we relate to, the groups with 3 chords and the truth, and the accomplished musicians who lift our spirits and make the burdens of the day lighter.

Thank goodness most are maneuvering through the pandemic and the loss of live audiences and are reaching us through the virtual world with really personal connections.

There are a few venues offering entertainment while social distancing with the main focus of keeping each other safe and still providing ‘good for the soul’ music. This can’t be done everywhere and drive-in and listen events are pretty darn cool.

In the meantime, wear a mask, be kind to others and give what you can to the streaming shows and musicians. The cause is real.

(We try to highlight  local musicians and bands. If you know someone who should be in the ‘spotlight’ let me know. Support local and live and ‘streaming’ music! Email me at [email protected])
